Sound for film / Sound design

The world around the frame.

Atmospheres, effects, and the small sounds that tell you where you are. Designed to picture, then handed to the mix as stems.

Close work at a microphone, recording dry leaves and a small metal latch.

What gets built

  • Location beds when the production track is thin: rooms, wind, night, traffic.
  • Specific effects tied to action in the frame, not a wash of library noise.
  • Transitions and offscreen events the picture implies and never shows.
  • A pass that leaves space for dialogue and score instead of covering them.
  • Labeled stems the mix can raise, drop, or replace without starting over.
